About

TARA: Truth and Right Action is dedicated to healing our youth and empowering our future. We offer a trauma-informed scholarship program for youth and young adults, providing holistic mentorship through five healing pillars: Health, Movement, Mindfulness, Creativity and Connection.

Our program serves as a lifeline for teens facing emotional disconnection, chronic stress, and early health risks, bridging students to compassionate coaches and culturally sensitive care without interfering with school systems. Through one-on-one coaching, community engagement, and a student-centered portal, we empower youth to reclaim their health, voice, and vitality. Join us in creating a future where all youth can thrive.

We believe in the potential of every young person to embrace their true selves, define their future, and positively impact the world.

Our Mission

Our Mission

To empower youth, young adults aging out of foster care, and young graduates of addiction recovery programs — through mentorship in Health, Movement, Mindfulness, Creativity, and Connection.

We bridge scholars to compassionate coaches through one-on-one mentorship, community engagement, and a private, HIPAA-compliant scholar portal.

Our Vision

To build an ecosystem of healing that empowers youth to overcome challenges, reclaim their health, discover their power, and develop resilience — thereby becoming strong, contributing members within their communities. We believe in the potential of every young person to embrace their true selves, define their future, and positively impact the world.

About Our Founder

My name is Meaghan Ryan

A retired nurse, former CPA, and lifelong advocate for young people. As a single mother, I learned early that resilience is built in community, not in isolation. That belief took me to India and Kenya, where I volunteered with children's groups and witnessed, again and again, the transformative power of one caring adult showing up for a young person.

Those experiences brought me home with a clear mission: to do that work here, for the teens and young adults who need it most.

I founded TARA because I believe we can do so much more for young people than we currently do. I want to see a support model rooted in emotional literacy, creativity, and genuine human connection — one where young people learn to name their feelings, understand themselves and others, and step into their lives with confidence and autonomy.
